HV-1

The HV-1 is an Eimac, triple-jet, diffusion pump. Heater seals are uranium glass and the body is Pyrex. It is capable of a vacuum of 4 X 10-7 mm of mercury. This example came with a tag that indicated that it was "completed on or about Mar. 26/42". This is about the time the HV-1 was developed. As this unit was a gift to the Perham Foundation, was it the first?
