B

The B is a helium filled, cold cathode, full wave rectifier introduced in November 1925. The first example was made by the American Appliance Co. and used the brandname "Raytheon" for the first time. One month later, the name was changed to Raytheon Manufacturing Co. as shown in the second example. The new tubes soon started using a different internal insulator. These tubes were obsolete by late 1926 when the more powerful BH was introduced.
