The 8890 is a 7000 watt tetrode for use in UHF-TV applications up to 400 MHz. These tubes were used in the old back up transmitter at KOVR channel 13 in Sacramento. The first example is a tube made by Brule and the second by RCA. The last view are of the tubes in the transmitter.
