This triode is an Eimac experimental possibly designated 80B and may be part of the the VT-127/327 family. The physical characteristics were patented in patent 2,368,812 filed on 30 June, 1942. A photo of this tube in the Eimac archives was taken on 18 May, 1942 with the 80B note on the back. Production records from 1941 indicate that only one 80B was made. The barrel shaped anode was used on the 527.
