5762/7C24

The 5762/7C24 is a 2000 watt power triode with a mu of 29. It requires forced air cooling and is usable to 220 MHz with full output to 30 MHz. Used in the RCA TT-25AH/L VHF TV amplifiers where seven tubes were used in the RF amplifier and seven in the aural. The photo shows the tubes in the RF amplifier. (Photo from RCA Broadcast News Jan.-Feb. 1952). The 7C24 was combined with the similar 5762 into a single tube that incorporated the better anode construction of the 5762.
